Our Workers Code of Coduct
The Lord calls’ us the light of the Word (Mt 5:14-15) and the salt of the earth (Mt 5:13), showing how important we are to Him and the great responsibilities that we have as God’s people it should therefore be the desire of every committed disciple not to fail God or the president or pastor of the Ministry or indeed anyone that they will be dealing with anytime and anywhere as responsibilities of the Lord Jesus Christ.
SECTION AEvery dedicated Worker must be submissive to all constituted authorities of the Ministry e.g.
- When travelling he should inform the head of his unit (2 Kings 6:2)
- Must be ready to attend all meetings and go wherever sent except where there are genuine reasons (Josh 1:6)
- Obey your HOD or appropriate elders. Once instructions given do not conflict with the scripture. (1 Pet 5:5)
- Be a good example by submitting to the doctrines of the Word of God. (Titus 2:7 & 1 Tim 4:6 & 12)
- Be a good example in spending physically and financially for God (2 Cor 12:15)
SECTION B
- Must appear well as a representative of the Lord. Where there is any doubt he must give the benefits of the doubt to the Lord (1 Pet 3:1-4, 1 Tim 2:9 & Isaiah 3:16-19)
- Must be punctual at all meetings (Heb 10:25)
- Walking and growing in the Lord constantly (Gal 5:1&6 Jn 4:23&24)
- Must believe in living right openly and secretly and walking in love (2 Pet 3:18 & 2 Tim 3:14-17)
- Must always be prepared to protect the good name of the church at all times (1 Tim 3:7, Tit 2:10-13)
SECTION C
- God is a God of order serving the Lord requires discipline because it involves playing by the rules (Heb 12:6 & Rev. 3:19) Wrong doing must be rebuked and where necessary punished. Punishments will be proportional to the offence and will range from open rebuke to suspension from the work-force for a period of time to total dismissal where there is no evidence of true repentance.
- In the course of discipline or suspension, the worker must attend all church services punctually and seat wherever the relevant elder shall determine. (Heb 12:5-8 & Prov. 3:11-12)
- All measures to ensure discipline must be ratified by the chairman of the Board of Ministers or the Reverend Mrs. Or any other elder as the Reverend may designate.
- Every worker who fails to attend a Workers Retreat without due permission must be sanctioned and must also pay the fines specified in an earlier circular passed by the Chairman of the Board of Ministers.
- Any HOD or members of the BOM who fails to attend meetings without due permission shall be subject to existing sanctions on circular referred to above.
- A worker who demonstrates true repentance may be forgiven before the end of the period of suspension.
- A worker who does not demonstrate true repentance will have is suspension extended in the first instance if there is still no visible change he may be recommended for removal from the Ministry’s work-force.
- Let it be categorically stated in closing that the ultimate objective with this code of conduct is that every worker might serve the Lord and receive from Him eternal commendation that will never fade away. It is our prayer that nobody in this Ministry will be confronted with the damning condemnation of Mt. 7:23 “….. depart from me ye that work iniquity”.
